We recommend seasoning hard anodized cookware before its first use. Seasoning is a process of heating up the wok/pan and applying a layer of oil to the interior and exterior of the wok/pan. The purpose of seasoning is to give the wok/pan a better non-stick effect upon first use. If you'd like us to season your cookware for you before delivery, leave us a note in the 'Special Instructions for Seller' field upon checkout. Once you receive your wok, you should immediately wash off the oil with a rough scouring pad and warm soapy water.
